A very rare representative silver plated GOLFING INKWELL, late 19th
century, rectangular tray with pen well, pen rest with crossed clubs, ink pots in the shape of two mesh gutty balls, figure of a golfer on top of back swing with gadroonded edge on flattened ball feet. Very good condition
Seize in cm: L 30 x D 22 x H 16, marked GWS EPNS 494 0 AD
PROVENENCE ENGLAND, circa 1890
Inkstands were popular prizes and gifts for the golfer at the turn of the century.
